What a GREAT MOVIE?!!! Thank God for 11:59p showings! Johnny and I went and saw it last night/this morning and I’ll tell you what – it was everything I’d hoped it would be and more! I laughed – I cried – and then I laughed some more! Who wants to see it??? I will totally see it again!

24 years of getting haircuts – and this is the first time a stylist has ever clipped my ear. At first I thought he just grazed the edge – but then I felt it… it didn’t hurt or anything – there are cuts that hurt – and then there are cuts you can just ‘feel’. As soon as he did it – he went to get a band-aid and by the time he came back, my ear was dripping. All I could think of tho was – damn – my hair looks hot! Took about an hour of pressure to get it to finally clot. I think I might skip the gym now – no need to bleed out on the floor while doing abs. HAHA!

While I wasn’t expecting something like DC Pride, I was still disappointed by Las Vegas’ Gay Pride Parade and Festival. The parade was held at night in downtown Las Vegas by Fremont Street. I expected it to be somewhere a bit less ‘out of the way’ but the Bible-thumping protesters were still able to make it carrying their huge “you’re going to hell” and “God hates fags” signs. It never ceases to amaze me that they’d come to “Sin City” with such ignorance and down right arrogance. I’d seen the same groups actually on the strip waving their signs and screaming scriptures through bullhorns forcing their beliefs that because people come to a city to relax, see a show, eat great food, and socialize with fun people, it is a sin. In any case, Clif had a fun time yelling back at them – amidst my awkwardness and just wanting to get away from them. It was enjoyable – but the “floats” just didn’t compare to DC. I think next year I should make a suggestion that to be eligible to enter the parade, you can’t just drive a convertible and sit in the backseat. At least I saw Roseanne Bar who was in the parade supporting gay rights. Add that one to the list of celebs seen in Sin City. :-)

The festival was nice – except for the fact that I had to pay $10 to get in which I wasn’t expecting. Hopefully it went to something important and not just someone’s pocket. The weather held out and it was a gorgeous day. I didn’t take too many pics, but I did upload the ones I took to Flickr. Enjoy boys and girls.

And with that said – a new blog design. Some other changes: Anthony moved to New York yesterday, I’m sorta kinda possibly seeing a great guy, frequenting the new LVAC that’s less than 5 minutes away, and I’ve started working with a friend helping him keep his business organized.

Having some mixed feelings about Anthony moving away… he’d become a really good friend out here who I [slightly] depended on – someone I could talk to other than Mandy about practically anything. Now he’s on the other side of the country… 2,537 miles to be exact… and even though we have IM, Text Messaging, E-Mail, etc etc etc – it still sucks that one more person moved away that I’d become really good friends with. I think that’s something I’m going to have to get used to here. Las Vegas is a very transient city – much like DC – but I think it’s more so. A lot of people I know talk about moving away from here and I’m sure it’s only a matter of time. But thankfully – that shell of introversion has chipped away and I find it much easier to make new friends here. I’m sure that’ll change when I eventually move away – but until then – I’m still enjoying Sin City. :-)

Oh boy… 24 days to go and I’ll be in Orlando with a gazillion other homos for GayDays. Mix emotions are running through me though… I’m very much excited about this trip – but I’m a little worried… this is one of the few trips I’ve basically gone on where I’ve gotta keep an eye out for myself. Most (read: all) the people I know so far that are going are into ‘partying’… and if you don’t know what that means, then don’t worry – took me a while to figure it out too. In any case… I’m a bit worried that I’ll be at a party, or club… and they’ll get all wacked out and I get separated and end up not knowing anyone. I’ve grown out of my introverted shell for the most part – but that sort of situation throws a bit of anxiety in the mix and I really want to have a great time.

I’m sure I’m worrying over nothing… but part of it is that Anthony isn’t flying from Vegas… he’s flying from NY… why? Because he’s moving there in like 10 days. Anthony had become a local best friend and now that he’s moving away… it just sucks. No mushy stuff needed… it just plain sucks. :-( Anyway… just a bit anxious about the trip and all – but I’m sure it’ll work out for the best. :-) Can’t wait for those pictures! WOOT WOOT! HAHA!

What a wonderful way to start the day… Kiley took a new shift on Tuesdays which happens to be a little slow in the mornings, and she offered to let me come in and get a massage if I was able to get there at 7am. So I think… 50 minute massage… I usually get “to the office” (read: roll out of bed) around 8.30-9a anyway… perfect!! Had to get up extra early (5.45a!) just to make sure I got there on time cuz I’d never driven to the strip that early in the morning from the west side of town. Made it there with about 25 minutes to spare so I checked in a lil early and purused the Men’s Spa. Snapped a few pics with my phone and uploaded them to Flickr. Quite a setup – lemme tell ya… the minute you walk in, it’s just to peaceful and calm. I wish I had come extra early so I could have relaxed in the hot tub for a bit before my massage – but no matter.

My massage was… well… hmm… how do you explain being COMPLETELY RELAXED! Wow! Kiley – gurl – you got the touch! If anyone in Vegas needs a massage, go to the Bellagio and request Kiley! You’ll walk out of there a changed person!

Now I just need that at least once a week… whatcha think Kiley? :-)

I love it when other people who don’t know you comment on your photos on Flickr. I was checking the stats on my Flickr page and saw that someone had linked to my photos from our fabulous (read: GAY!) Slumber Party we had at the end of March. Of course, the first item he picked up on was the fact that Amir had to break off the plastic seal that was put on the liquor bottle by the store because they didn’t take it off. An instead of taking it back with the receipt – they just hacked away at it with a hammer… great idea, right? :) Well, this guy picked up on it and instead of posting the pics of the condiment facial, he posts them to his site. Good times! We need to have more parties… more specifically, more POOL PARTIES!
