It’s June 29th, approximately 1pm PST, only about two hours prior to the East Coast launch of the iPhone. What excitement! What a thrill… until I read this. Suddenly… my iExcitement has turned to iAnger, iRage, and a slight feeling of iBetrayal. I work for AT&T Mobility. I’m not that upset – it’s just like a slight slap in the face. Granted, they did develop the damn thing… but I mean really… sometimes I think we are the cheapest company around. Where’s Oprah when you need her?

So if you haven’t already seen… the iPlans have been released and are posted on AT&T’s wireless site. And just to give you some perspective… you’re getting a good deal on these plans. Unlimited Data would be $30, 200 SMS would be $5. The 450 Minute Plan is normally $39.99; so with this bundle, you’re already saving $15. I’m not too sure how much the Visual Voicemail costs alone tho – so that’s probably an additional $50-10 if added separately.

So, who wants to buy me one?

Recently, I’ve become increasing interested in trading stocks… probably peaked by the fact that Bill’s boyfriend has made a ton of money on it and I’m trying to find a second income somewhere… but it also seems to be a good opportunity to learn about the market and such. I’d always hoped to learn about stocks and the market in school, but we never got to that lesson… damn snow days. If anyone has any advice, I’d gladly love to hear your experiences and tips. I started paper trading on this site that provides a very very very basic portfolio tool that allows you to faux-buy stocks and watch to see them grow or fall. A “what-if” for the stock market. Mandy’s husband Keegan has given me a few books that he recommends to learn about it all.

I’m hoping it’s enough to spare $5… I’m on vacation and my finances got screwed (no I didn’t gamble it away – I’d have had to have it in the first place to do that)… so now I have to wait til next Friday to get paid – blah… so if you’re feeling generous to drop a few bucks in my PayPal account – I will love you long time.

The past two weeks have been uber-fun. Last weekend was DC Pride and although I felt somewhat out of place at the party I attended on Saturday, I still had a pretty decent time. I got some pretty good pictures – not as many as I had the years before; but all in all, a good time. Met some new friends and had an interesting time at Cobalt. Didn’t end up getting home until about 2 am – then headed out Sunday for the festival.

This past weekend was Baltimore Pride so I went to the block party with Jason on Saturday for that. Had an awesome time and enjoyed a delicious pitcher of margarita. I ran into a few people I knew and so did he… we decided to get some dinner with a friend of his and after waiting for over 15 minutes only to have the “waiter” tell us that he could “get someone else” if we wanted when we asked if he was our waiter – we decided to get some sushi. I ended up ordering too much, but it was a nice change of pace. We ended up just chillin’ out after that and I got to sleep in.

All in all, it was a good Pride weekend(s). I wonder if the west coast can do it better…
