Weekdays off are fabulous
So since we came home from Myrtle Beach a day early - I was able to get some stuff done that would have had to wait til the weekend (although I’m thinking I should have so that all the things I charged would have cleared and I wouldn’t be bouncin’ payments for my car - but… we’re sorta past that point of being able to do anything about it - so we’ll just move on and hope for the best). I’m thankful we left a day early; I think we were all tired of Bike Week, which of course we had no idea was going on until we got there.
Woke up around 8.30a and got ready for a gorgeous day out on the town. Headed into the city to get my haircut and didn’t have to wait for someone to become available (Weekday Off Benefit #1). I even got a parking space right by Cobalt… not at first though. I was slightly confused as to why all these spaces were available along R Street, Q, P… it’s never like this. So, I go park my car at a meter - run to the ATM to get cash, then to Starbucks to get coffee and change for the meter - ran back to the meter to read the sign that said “Street Cleaning MONDAY 9.30 am to 11.30 am” Thankfully - I didn’t get towed. So I drove around for about 15 minutes til it was 11.32a and got my Cobalt parking space. After my haircut, I went and got a new swimsuit at Universal Gear - speedo type - yes - I know - gay… but I look good in it! At least I think so :)
Following my small shopping experience - I walked over to the Java House and had a nice afternoon lunch with Bryan and sat in the sun while we caught up on life and watched the people pass by :) Very quaint (Weekday Off Benefit #2). After lunch, I went and tanned (or colored myself… Mystic Tan is the best thing ever for white boys like me). Now I have a hot haircut (Weekday Off Benefit #1), had a relaxing lunch in the city on a gorgeous day (Weekday Off Benefit #2), and my skin is a golden shade of brown (Weekday Off Benefit #3). I fuckin’ love weekdays off. :)
