Thank God for 30%!

Man cannot be free if he does not know that he is subject to necessity, because his freedom is always won in his never wholly successful attempts to liberate himself from necessity.
- Hannah Arrendt.

This past week has been so crazy; especially last Friday night/Saturday morning. Now I have a shit-load of crap that I have to deal with. I’m primarily upset with myself over it; I’m not like that. I’m not that type of person, but now I have to deal with the repercussions. Ah… such is life.

Other than that, not much else has been going on. Stupid MVA sucks balls, but everyone knows that. The Red Party at Velvet last night was great, although I didn’t dance at all seeing as how I was looking for Don the entire time and just as I left a bunch of my friends saw him. I miss him too… haven’t seen him since last Saturday, and that was pretty brief.

I think I need to go through my buddy list and clean it up a bit… there a ton of people I never talk to on there and I wouldn’t be surprised if they even noticed if I never spoke to them again.

shal·low adj. shal·low·er, shal·low·est:
Lacking depth of intellect, emotion, or knowledge; Measuring little from bottom to top or surface; lacking physical depth.

OGO!!!

Cannot wait to get one!!!I miss Jason :(

Karma Kicks Ass!!!

That’s all I have to say about that! :)

"You're over! You want to know why you're over?! Because I said you are!"

For those that I’ve angered or hurt, I’m sorry.

This weekend put a few things into perspective for me. I’ve found that age isn’t the only measure of maturity. Intelligence, common sense, social life, and several other aspects of life all measure maturity. Today I realized (told is more like it) that I need to grow up socially; which hurt at first because I pride myself on thinking I am quite mature for my age, but I made the mistake of getting defensive about it. I never meant to have any kind of attitude or put a damper of anyone’s night last night; but it seems as though I did, and I’m sorry. I care about everyone of my friends and value our relationships. I would never do anything to jeopardize that intentionally and I hope, no I pray each of you know that.

"That's what I like to see; stack the ugly to make more room for the pretty!"

Tuesday
My 21st Birthday!!! I went out to the Towson Friday’s to see who was working (Monday night) and stayed until midnight to have my first *cough* legal *cough* drink. Matt was closing so I stayed with him for a lil while. He is SO adorable, wish he was mine. Went to the MVA Tuesday morning to renew my license and update the address to the apt. The lady was so nice and even let me choose which photo I liked the best for my license. Pretty cute I’d say for a 21 year old ;-) Mom took me out to dinner around 5 and I ordered some Mango crap which was horrible, oh well. Went down to DC that night. Jamie went with me to Cobalt and I met Luke there as well. Thank you two for coming out on my birthday, it really meant a lot to me! I met Matthew that night, what a sweetheart. Hopefully we can get together again soon. I spent the night at Jamie’s since I had been drinking and I really didn’t want to drive after riding the metro all the way home.

Wednesday
After waking up to Jamie’s empty apartment, I realized that I my shirt REEKED of smoke. Mental note: Next time you spend the night at a friend’s after the club… bring a change of clothes! So I decided to go buy a new shirt. Walked around Dupont for a lil while and then I walked out to Georgetown. Called Geoff and he came out to have lunch. Very relaxing day. That night mom took Jen & I out to Jillian’s for drinks and dinner. We played forever in the arcade. Thanks Mom for the tokens! Jen had her first “Three Wisemen” shot there; I only wish I had a picture of her face after she took the shot!

Thursday
Thursday was pretty laid back. Geoff came over and we hung out and watched a movie. Made dinner. Nothin’ too fancy.

Friday
Friday was awesome though… met up with Geoff in Dupont and we went to Apex that night. Finally met Don and what a character he is. SUCH a sweet guy! We had a blast at Apex and then went to Wayne’s house for his afterparty. He has the most beautiful house I’ve seen in DC so far, besides Don’s. After the party we all crashed at Don’s.

Saturday
After the morning gymnastics we all went to breakfast at Annie’s and then out shopping for decorations and such for Nation that night. Let me tell you… Don is a BLAST! I haven’t laughed that hard in SO long. Thank you so much Don! Went to Nation that night where I had my share of Jager and Malibu. I wasn’t in too much of a mood to be at the club so I left around 2 and came home.

Sunday
Recovery & Relaxation… nothing more need be said…

Monday
Monday I met up at Reggie’s with Geoff, Hudson, and others to go out to Bob’s boat. First thing… Reggie and Bob are GREAT! They have the kindest personalities and are young at heart! Never change you guys. Went down to Annapolis and out on the boat. Matt took photos and Geoff and I got some nice couple shots out of it. :) Two boys on the boat got a lil too frisky as well ALL heard and some even SAW things which should be kept behind closed doors and closed overhead hatches! LOL Exhausted after the day’s festivities, Geoff and I came back to my place and we watched Dane Cook again… what a HILLARIOUS guy.

And Today…
Unfortunately my vacation has come to an end as I had to go back to work today. Pretty normal day… boring.

All in all though, I had a great vacation. Thank you Geoff, Reggie, Bob, Matthew L., Matthew H., Jamie, Luke, Jason, Jen, Mom, and any I may have forgotten, for making this a great birthday & vacation. I am very blessed to have you in my life.
