Well, we’re leavin’ in a few minutes to head up to Pennsylvania for a family reunion. I’ve gone for the past few years and had a decent time, so I’m goin’ again. We were supposed to leave at noon and it’s about 20 mins ’til; I wonder if we’ll make it. Not really lookin’ forward to anything special other than the days off I get from work. I took the weekend off and I don’t work again ’til next Thursday night. I certainly do love writing my own schedule for work.

Other than the reunion, nothin’ really special is goin’ on. I met a really nice person online and really enjoy talking to them. I can’t wait ’til we meet and have lunch; I think I’ve made a really good friend, someone who can actually hold their own in an intelligent conversation. Hopefully when I get my car back from the shop we can go out and meet up at the mall or something; but I’ll just take it one day at a time and see where that leads me. Wow… this past weekend was tough. After closing Friday and Saturday, I worked a double on Sunday and then opened yesterday morning. Needless to say I am extremely thankful for rest. Today I picked up my check and deposited my tips. The double on Sunday (Mother’s Day) was well worth it; with a few more weekends like that, I’ll be able to build up my savings again.

Let’s see, what else is new….. um…….. after dropping my classes this last semester, my mom brought up the option to go to a technical school and get my certifications. After thinking about it, it makes sense. This way I can get a job quicker and get experience, then I can go back to school and get my degree so that I can get a bit more on that check. I’m really lookin’ forward to this; I have yet to start any courses which pertain to my interest. Hopefully I’ll be starting that soon.

Well, one more day before I have to go back to work…

I finally got my own line in this house! Mom got pretty fed up with me being on the only phone line when I would get online, so she’s making me pay for my own line; which is perfectly fine with me. I offered that several years ago. Oh well… now I can download songs at times other than 3 am. Unfortunately I have to go in to work… although I do like my job, I’m just really tired lately. But the up side is that I get to show off my new phone. My other died on me yesterday and I lost all the numbers in it. So that’s bad… but I have a rockin’ phone now. All color screen and a whole bunch of other crap I don’t even know about yet. LOL… Aight, I better get ready for work… Until next time…

There isn’t much new goin’ on around here. I’ve decided to go to a technical school to get all my certifications and then pursue my degree. That way I can have a well payin’ job to pay for school rather than just waiting tables. The job is goin’ pretty well, havin’ a great time just workin’ my ass off. I’m extrememly exhausted after this past week; but thankfully I have tomorrow and Wednesday off. *yawn* Well, I’m gonna take my ass to bed. Until next time…
